Wow, I can't believe that a half year has gone by so quickly! Zach is continuing to grow like a weed and each day he cracks us up with new behaviors and discoveries :). His latest is scrunching up his nose and snorting at us, it's a multi-purpose action apparently, he does it when he's happy, silly, angry, so I have no idea what he's trying to do, but he is DEFINITELY cracking us up with it.
For those interested in stats, he just visited the Dr. yesterday for his check-up. Our little giant comes in at:
28.5" (97%)
18lbs 15oz (75%)
and now his head has caught up as well 18"(90%).
His head took a big jump in the last couple months so the Dr. wants to get an ultrasound on it just to make sure everything is ok. We're not super worried though, it just seems like he got more proportional, he's a big kid!
He's consistently rolling over from back to tummy, although he HATES the result, not a fan of tummy-time. And he's only managed to roll back over from tummy to back once. He does, in fact, have 2 teeth now, his bottom 2, the latest one snuck in last Tuesday, Zach and I went to lunch with some friends and they told me had "teeth", I said, "no, he has tooth", turns out they were right, it popped through that morning! He's still loving his solids, well, the veggies anyways, he's losing interest in the rice cereal, pretty much giving me a face like I just put poo of some sort in his mouth. And no, mixing veggies in doesn't help, he takes about 2 spoonfuls of mixture and then gets ANGRY when he figures out what I'm up to!

In other news, I'm off for a week (Microchip is doing a plant shutdown because of the economy), which is great, I love spending time with Zach (and Brian and Austin too :)). Zach and I are trying to take advantage of the weather with some trips to the park and walks during this week.
I'll add pictures to this post soon, still need to get them off the camera!

Christine, we haven't met yet, but I'm in the Fall 08 mommy group too. Your son is only about a week older than mine, we have a friend who graduated from UF in either 2001 or 2002 (architecture) and we have another friend who currently works for microchip. Small world. I'll be coming to the meetup at your house tomorrow, so I'll be interested to see if you now either of them. Looking forward to meeting you!
Great to meet you Becki! Your friend is obviously good people, all Gators are ;). And I hope your friend at mchp is doing ok, we're avoiding lay-offs for now, let's hope it stays that way! You can tell him I'm in design in the 32bit group, he should know what you're talking about :).
